Project Charisius

Welcome to Project Charisius

Conquest of Istanbul

Welcome to Project Charisius, a comparative benchmark research project dedicated to the study and analysis of various models and their resilience. Our project is named after a significant historical event - the fall of the Byzantine Empire. This event symbolizes a turning point in history, much like our aim to revolutionize the field of benchmark research.

Trivia

Did you know? When Fatih Sultan Mehmet, also known as Mehmed the Conqueror, conquered Istanbul, he entered the city from the gate of Charisius. This marked the end of the Byzantine Empire and the start of a new era. Our project, Byzantine-Resilient Benchmarks, symbolizes a similar paradigm shift in the world of benchmark research.

Above is a great painting by the Italian-Ottoman Royal Painter, Fausto Zonaro. It shows the gate of Charisius, and was painted in Late-Ottoman Era, 1903. He depicts himself standing, to the right of the Sultan. -Serhan
